Working for Dempsey Wood, Draeinail carried out a wastewater main upgrade along the centre of Tripoli Road. Works included four live sewer diversions and the installation of 375, 300, 225 and 150 diameter PVC pipes. A large 4-inch sewer bypass pump was used to maintain wastewater flows during the diversions.

Using excavators ranging from 5 to 30 tonnes, the team worked carefully around numerous underground services and overhead utilities. The road was closed to through traffic, with access maintained for residents.

Working in a busy residential neighbourhood required careful coordination, minimising noise and keeping to agreed working hours. Works were paused when needed to help residents safely enter and leave their properties through the site.
